By Easy Fix Auto LLC — Eagle Scout Owned Mobile Mechanic in Clermont, FL
Deciding between Easy Fix Auto and a quick lube chain like Jiffy Lube for your next service in Central Florida? Here's our completely honest take — including when we think a quick lube makes sense and when we know we're the better choice.
The Honest Answer Upfront
If you want to support a hardworking Eagle Scout — a locally owned business where the actual owner shows up to your driveway, not a worker paid by the hour with no stake in whether you're happy — and you want the added convenience of mobile service with the same or better quality, Easy Fix Auto is your answer.
That's not a sales pitch. That's genuinely who we are and how we operate on every single job in Clermont, Winter Garden, Ocoee, Windermere, and Horizon West.

The Real Difference — Who Actually Cares
At a quick lube chain, the person working on your car is an hourly employee. Their paycheck doesn't change based on whether you leave happy. Their job is to get through as many cars as possible and recommend additional services — that's the entire business model.
At Easy Fix Auto, the person working on your car is the owner. Our reputation, our business, and our relationships in Clermont and Central Florida depend entirely on whether you're satisfied. We're Eagle Scout owned — honesty and service to community aren't values we adopted for marketing. They're how we were raised.
We also replace the drain plug gasket on every oil change — a step many quick lube shops skip that causes slow leaks over time. We lubricate the gasket correctly. We top off your accessible fluids. We tell you honestly about your next oil change interval based on your specific vehicle and driving habits in Florida's climate. Not what gets you back in fastest.
When a Quick Lube Might Make Sense
We'll be fully honest — there are situations where a Jiffy Lube or similar chain is a reasonable choice:
- You're traveling far outside our Central Florida service area
- You need service immediately and we're fully booked that day
- You simply prefer a physical shop for personal reasons
Outside those situations — Easy Fix Auto delivers a better experience at a competitive price, with the convenience of coming to you and the honesty of an Eagle Scout.
